Dear Colleague,

I have introduced H.Res.1155 [1], Articles of Impeachment against President Trump and invite you to join me in cosponsoring.

Donald Trump has blown past every requirement to be removed from office. And it’s getting worse. His illegal war in Iran is not only driving up prices for American families — it has cost American lives. He’s becoming more unstable by the day. His profane and sacrilegious Easter Sunday and subsequent threats, including ‘a whole civilization will die’ and ‘open the Strait…or you’ll be living in hell’ not only foreshadow war crimes, but put our security at risk.

I have great trust and respect in Jamie Raskin and the Democrats on the Judiciary Committee and we must be strategic.

People across my district and the country know he is unfit to lead and are calling for impeachment. Republicans in the majority have so far failed to uphold their constitutional responsibility. They have also eliminated Resolutions of Inquiry. I introduced these articles to build on our collective work establishing a clear and undeniable record of Donald Trump’s corruption, high crimes, and violations of the Constitution. The American people want and deserve accountability for this President and his Administration, and it is our job to provide it.
